Drone Mapping in RM2

Whatever the site looks like in RM2, our drone mapping team plans the flight around it rather than the other way round.

Our pilots work in RM2 often enough to know its airspace constraints before we arrive. We work for construction firms, property teams, marketing agencies and local businesses in the area. We will say plainly if a drone is the wrong tool for what you are trying to show.

A single well-planned flight over the site often replaces a day of access equipment. Some RM2 streets simply have nowhere safe to launch, and we will say so. Because RM2 falls under Romford, we can usually combine it with nearby districts in one visit.

Planning for RM2 covers airspace class, nearby aerodromes, and anything on the ground that changes the risk picture. Payload choice follows the deliverable, whether that is a frame or a measurement. If the airspace makes the job impossible, you will hear that at the enquiry stage.

UAS London holds CAA operational authorisation and carries £10M public liability insurance. Edited video, stills, orthomosaics and inspection reports follow within 24 to 48 hours. You will know who is turning up in RM2, and when, before the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you retain copyright, or do we?

Licensing is agreed before the shoot and written into the quote, so there is no ambiguity afterwards. Tell us how you intend to use the material and we will scope the licence to match.

Do we need permission from the landowner or council?

Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.

Can you fly drones in RM2?

Yes. We hold the necessary permissions to operate safely in RM2. Every operation includes a full risk assessment and coordination with local authorities or airspace controllers where required.
