Construction Progress Monitoring in EC4Y

Whatever the site looks like in EC4Y, our construction progress monitoring team plans the flight around it rather than the other way round.

Recent Work

Selected work from across London and the Thames.

EC4Y is well within our operating radius, so mobilising a crew there is straightforward. Projects here run from quick property shoots to multi-day commercial productions. Deliverables can be split across several recipients where the client team is spread out.

Whether the EC4Y material ends up in a brochure or a report changes how we shoot it. Where EC4Y sits under a flight path, timings matter more than usual. Our coverage of East Central London means a crew can reach EC4Y without a long transit.

The EC4Y plan starts from what is on the ground, not from a standard template. Kit is chosen per brief, from sub-250g aircraft for tight spaces to RTK platforms for centimetre accuracy. We fly the plan that was agreed, and flag it if the site has changed since.

Paperwork is ready before the booking is confirmed rather than chased afterwards. You get the raw capture on the day and finished deliverables within a couple of days. You will know who is turning up in EC4Y, and when, before the day.

Part of EC4Y fronts the Thames, and river work has its own rules. We coordinate with the PLA, work to tide windows, and can launch from a vessel where the shot needs it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you insured, and can we see the certificate?

Yes. We carry £10M public liability insurance and can send the certificate, our CAA operational authorisation and a job-specific risk assessment before the booking is confirmed.

Do you need us to close anything off while you fly?

Usually not. Most jobs are flown with a small cordon around the take-off point and sensible separation from people on the ground. Where a site genuinely needs more, we will tell you at the planning stage rather than on the morning.

Are you CAA approved?

Yes. UAS London is fully CAA approved with enhanced permissions for commercial drone operations in built-up areas. We carry £10M public liability insurance.
