Drone Filming in EC4Y
Our drone filming crews work EC4Y and the districts around it throughout the year.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
If your site falls in EC4Y, our drone filming team can plan and fly it under existing CAA permissions. Briefs range from a single set of stills through to full production support. We will say plainly if a drone is the wrong tool for what you are trying to show.
Height changes what the site communicates: context, scale and progress all read differently. Local access, not airspace, is often the real constraint on work in EC4Y. We work the whole of East Central London, so EC4Y is rarely a standalone trip.
Every flight in EC4Y starts with an airspace check and a written risk assessment. Payload choice follows the deliverable, whether that is a frame or a measurement. We fly the plan that was agreed, and flag it if the site has changed since.
Where a landowner, managing agent or council needs sight of our paperwork, we provide it up front. Ask for the EC4Y brief to be quoted with and without editing if that helps you compare. The same pilot who plans the EC4Y job is usually the one who flies it.
The river edge of EC4Y is a different operating problem to the streets behind it. Tides move the working surface, vessels move through the shot, and the Port of London Authority needs telling in advance. All three are routine parts of our planning here.
What's Included
Thames Riverside Expertise
Because EC4Y is adjacent to the River Thames, operations here may require specialist maritime knowledge. We coordinate with the Port of London Authority (PLA) and provide highly experienced river skippers when required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you CAA approved?
Yes. UAS London is fully CAA approved with enhanced permissions for commercial drone operations in built-up areas. We carry £10M public liability insurance.
How long will you be on site in EC4Y?
Most single-subject jobs take one to three hours on site including setup, briefing and packing down. Larger sites, multiple elevations or survey work take longer, and we confirm the expected window when we quote.
Do you retain copyright, or do we?
Licensing is agreed before the shoot and written into the quote, so there is no ambiguity afterwards. Tell us how you intend to use the material and we will scope the licence to match.
