Aerial Photography in IG2

Our aerial photography crews work IG2 and the districts around it throughout the year.

Our pilots work in IG2 often enough to know its airspace constraints before we arrive. Sites vary from tight residential streets to large commercial and industrial plots. Repeat visits to the same IG2 site keep the same crew wherever we can manage it.

The point of aerial photography is usually a decision someone else needs to make. Knowing where you can legally launch in IG2 saves a wasted mobilisation. Our coverage of Ilford means a crew can reach IG2 without a long transit.

Flight planning for IG2 accounts for restricted airspace, local infrastructure and pedestrian movement. Payload choice follows the deliverable, whether that is a frame or a measurement. If conditions change on the day, the pilot's call is final.

We can supply method statements and risk assessments for your own site paperwork. Delivery is by secure cloud transfer, with the raw files retained as backup. Every job gets a written brief confirmation before we mobilise.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much notice do you need for a booking in IG2?

A few days is comfortable for most IG2 sites, and we can often cover urgent work at shorter notice. Jobs needing NATS or ATC coordination, or access to a restricted site, need longer, and we will flag that as soon as we see the brief.

Do we need permission from the landowner or council?

Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.

Are you CAA approved?

Yes. UAS London is fully CAA approved with enhanced permissions for commercial drone operations in built-up areas. We carry £10M public liability insurance.
