Thames Drone Filming at Syon Reach
Specialist over-water thames drone filming at Syon Reach for marine engineering, logistics, and creative media.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
UAS London covers Syon Reach as part of our tidal Thames operating area. Typical briefs cover vessel tracking, riverside development, bridge condition and event coverage. We can attend a pre-start or toolbox meeting where the project requires one.
Where the Syon Reach flight passes near bridges or moorings, we plan clearances and abort routes first. We carry redundant airframes so a marginal weather window is not a wasted mobilisation. Where the subject is a moving vessel, the shot is planned around its passage, not ours.
Where the Syon Reach flight affects navigation, we coordinate directly with vessel operators. Crews are water-safety trained as well as CAA-licensed. We would rather lose a tide and rebook than fly a marginal over-water operation.
Survey data from Syon Reach is processed and returned within two working days. Share the brief and we will confirm crew availability against the tide table the same day. Most enquiries get a same-day response.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fly at night or in low light on the river?
Yes. Night and blue-hour work over the Thames is something we do regularly, with the lighting conditions and additional risk factored into the plan. Twilight often gives the strongest results on the tideway.
How do you manage wind and weather on the river?
The Thames corridor funnels wind and can be considerably rougher than the surrounding streets. We work to maritime forecasts and fly platforms rated to around 25 knots, so a marginal day does not automatically cost you the shoot.
What does river work at Syon Reach cost?
It depends on tide windows, whether vessel support is needed and what you want delivered, so we quote per project. Send the brief and the deadline and we will come back with a fixed price and the viable tides.
