Thames Marine Civil Filming at Putney Reach
Specialist over-water thames marine civil filming at Putney Reach for marine engineering, logistics, and creative media.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
UAS London covers Putney Reach as part of our tidal Thames operating area. The work ranges from single vessel shoots to multi-day coverage of marine civil projects. Tell us the deadline early, because the tide table, not the diary, usually sets the date.
Where the Putney Reach flight passes near bridges or moorings, we plan clearances and abort routes first. Cinema, inspection and mapping payloads can all be flown on the same tide window. Battery and crew changes are planned around the window so nothing is lost mid-sequence.
Any Putney Reach operation is logged with the river authorities before the crew arrives. Ground safety on the bank, meaning cordons, pedestrian routes and marshals, is planned alongside the flight. If the airspace or the PLA position makes the job impossible, you hear it at the enquiry stage.
If weather or tide closes the window, we rebook the next viable slot at no extra cost. Send us the dates and the shot list and we will tell you which tides are viable. We can point you at Thames projects where we have done something similar.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you fly at night or in low light on the river?
Yes. Night and blue-hour work over the Thames is something we do regularly, with the lighting conditions and additional risk factored into the plan. Twilight often gives the strongest results on the tideway.
How do you manage wind and weather on the river?
The Thames corridor funnels wind and can be considerably rougher than the surrounding streets. We work to maritime forecasts and fly platforms rated to around 25 knots, so a marginal day does not automatically cost you the shoot.
What does river work at Putney Reach cost?
It depends on tide windows, whether vessel support is needed and what you want delivered, so we quote per project. Send the brief and the deadline and we will come back with a fixed price and the viable tides.
