Thames Marine Civil Filming at Battersea Reach

UAS London covers Battersea Reach as part of our tidal Thames operating area. Our crews pair CAA-licensed drone pilots with working river skippers who read tide, traffic and weather off the water rather than off a map. Where a brief covers several reaches, we plan them into one run down the river.

We survey the Battersea Reach bank and the water in advance to fix take-off, landing and contingency points. Platforms are chosen for wind resilience and over-water redundancy rather than convenience. Where bank access is restricted, we scout the approach before the crew and kit arrive.

PLA notification, harbour master liaison and VTS contact for Battersea Reach are handled in-house. Documentation is available up front: permissions, marine insurance and the risk assessment. We do not fly outside our permissions, whatever the production schedule says.
