River Event Filming at Corney Reach
Specialist over-water river event filming at Corney Reach for marine engineering, logistics, and creative media.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
We run drone operations at Corney Reach throughout the year, in all tide states. Both riverbank and vessel-launched operations are available depending on the shot. Small jobs are welcome; a single vessel pass is as valid a brief as a week of coverage.
We survey the Corney Reach bank and the water in advance to fix take-off, landing and contingency points. We fly marine-configured aircraft rated for the wind speeds the river corridor regularly produces. A contingency window is built in wherever the shot depends on conditions.
Notices to mariners are checked before any Corney Reach flight, and radio watch is kept during it. Risk assessments for river work are site-specific and account for tide, traffic and public access. Our river risk assessments are written to be read, not to satisfy a filing requirement.
If weather or tide closes the window, we rebook the next viable slot at no extra cost. We are trusted on the river by operators including CPBS Marine Services, MMS Marine and the Dutch Master. Quotes are fixed, not estimates that drift once the job starts.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you manage wind and weather on the river?
The Thames corridor funnels wind and can be considerably rougher than the surrounding streets. We work to maritime forecasts and fly platforms rated to around 25 knots, so a marginal day does not automatically cost you the shoot.
Do you need Port of London Authority approval to fly at Corney Reach?
Any professional drone operation on the tidal Thames, including Corney Reach, requires notification to and coordination with the PLA and London VTS. UAS London manages those clearances as part of the service.
Can you launch from the bank rather than a vessel at Corney Reach?
Often, yes, and it is usually cheaper. It depends on landowner permission, a clear take-off and landing area, and whether the subject stays within safe range from shore. We will tell you which approach the shot actually needs.
