FPV Drone Filming in E5

E5 is inside our regular patch, so FPV drone filming there is a short mobilisation rather than a special arrangement.

Getting a crew into E5 is a short job for us rather than a special arrangement. Clients here range from developers and contractors to production companies, agents and event organisers. If the brief is still loose, we would rather talk it through than guess at it.

Aerial work in E5 tends to answer a question that ground-level images cannot. We have flown enough of London to know where E5 gets complicated. East London is a regular working area for us, and E5 is part of it.

Before we fly in E5 we check airspace restrictions, obstacles and ground risk on the day. We fly the aircraft the brief actually needs rather than the same platform for everything. Residents and neighbouring occupiers in E5 are given notice where the operation warrants it.

Our authorisation covers the kind of built-up operation E5 usually calls for. File formats are agreed up front so nothing needs converting later. Feedback on a first cut is included rather than billed as a revision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you work around a live site in E5?

Yes. We plan around access routes, working hours and pedestrian movement, and can schedule flights for quieter windows to keep ground risk down. Cordons and marshalling are agreed in advance rather than arranged on the day.

Are you CAA approved?

Yes. UAS London is fully CAA approved with enhanced permissions for commercial drone operations in built-up areas. We carry £10M public liability insurance.

How much notice do you need for a booking in E5?

A few days is comfortable for most E5 sites, and we can often cover urgent work at shorter notice. Jobs needing NATS or ATC coordination, or access to a restricted site, need longer, and we will flag that as soon as we see the brief.
