Drone Survey in CR2

Whatever the site looks like in CR2, our drone survey team plans the flight around it rather than the other way round.

CR2 is a regular destination for our drone survey crews. Jobs come in from main contractors, subcontractors and the client side directly. Deliverables can be split across several recipients where the client team is spread out.

A drone reaches vantage points in CR2 that scaffolding and cherry pickers cannot justify. Proximity to controlled airspace changes what is possible in parts of CR2. Croydon is a regular working area for us, and CR2 is part of it.

We confirm what permissions the CR2 site needs before anything is booked in. Mapping work is flown on RTK platforms rather than estimated from camera drones. If conditions change on the day, the pilot's call is final.

Insurance certificates and CAA documentation are issued on request ahead of any CR2 booking. Repeat visits to CR2 are delivered to a consistent spec so the set matches. We keep the brief and the delivery in writing so expectations stay aligned.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you fly indoors or in enclosed spaces?

Yes, with sub-250g aircraft and appropriate planning. Enclosed and confined spaces need their own risk assessment and often a different platform, so tell us about the environment early and we will confirm what is workable.

Are you insured, and can we see the certificate?

Yes. We carry £10M public liability insurance and can send the certificate, our CAA operational authorisation and a job-specific risk assessment before the booking is confirmed.

Do we need permission from the landowner or council?

Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.
