Drone Mapping in W1D

W1D is inside our regular operating area. Our drone mapping crews mobilise quickly and arrive with the paperwork already done.

We know the airspace picture over W1D before we quote on it. Jobs come in from main contractors, subcontractors and the client side directly. We can attend a pre-start meeting where the site requires one.

An aerial set of the site gives you context that a street-level photograph loses. Operating in W1D is a different problem to operating on open ground, and it is planned that way. W1D sits in the West London postcode area, which our crews cover as one patch.

Each W1D job is planned around the site itself: access, take-off points, overflight and people on the ground. Depending on the deliverable that might be the Inspire 3 for 8K, a Mavic for reach, or a Matrice for mapping. We fly the plan that was agreed, and flag it if the site has changed since.

Where a landowner, managing agent or council needs sight of our paperwork, we provide it up front. Larger data sets are delivered by secure transfer rather than physical media. We do not add charges after the fact for travel or parking in W1D.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you CAA approved?

Yes. UAS London is fully CAA approved with enhanced permissions for commercial drone operations in built-up areas. We carry £10M public liability insurance.

Do you need us to close anything off while you fly?

Usually not. Most jobs are flown with a small cordon around the take-off point and sensible separation from people on the ground. Where a site genuinely needs more, we will tell you at the planning stage rather than on the morning.

What do we actually receive at the end?

That depends on the brief: graded video, high-resolution stills, orthomosaic maps, 3D models or an inspection report. Raw capture is handed over on the day and finished output follows by secure cloud transfer.
