Thames Aerial Imagery in Rainham
Specialist over-water thames aerial imagery at Rainham for marine engineering, logistics, and creative media.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
Thames Aerial Imagery in Rainham is routine work for our Thames crews. Both riverbank and vessel-launched operations are available depending on the shot. Where the river is busy, patience beats improvisation, and we plan for it.
We identify launch and recovery points in Rainham that work at the state of tide on the day. Where the shot demands it, we launch and recover from an MCA-coded support vessel. Where bank access is restricted, we scout the approach before the crew and kit arrive.
We work to PLA requirements as a matter of course rather than as an afterthought. Crews are water-safety trained as well as CAA-licensed. We hold the separation the regulations require from anyone not under our control.
Deliverables come in the format your editorial or engineering team already works in. Share the brief and we will confirm crew availability against the tide table the same day. We can hold a provisional tide window while you confirm internally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you insured for flying over water?
Yes. We carry £10M public liability insurance written to cover over-water operations, and can provide the certificate along with our CAA authorisation and a job-specific risk assessment before booking.
Do you work with the vessel operator directly?
Yes, and it makes a noticeable difference to the result. Given the skipper's contact we coordinate the passage and the shot list directly, so the vessel is where the camera needs it rather than the other way round.
How do you manage wind and weather on the river?
The Thames corridor funnels wind and can be considerably rougher than the surrounding streets. We work to maritime forecasts and fly platforms rated to around 25 knots, so a marginal day does not automatically cost you the shoot.
