Thermal Drone Inspection in SM5

We fly thermal drone inspection throughout SM5, planned and permitted before the crew arrives on site.

UAS London covers the SM5 postcode district as part of our standard London operating area. We are as comfortable on a single house as on a multi-acre site. We can attend a pre-start meeting where the site requires one.

Height changes what the site communicates: context, scale and progress all read differently. Height limits, restricted zones and helicopter routes all vary across London, SM5 included. We work the whole of Sutton, so SM5 is rarely a standalone trip.

Every flight in SM5 starts with an airspace check and a written risk assessment. Cinema, survey and inspection payloads are all available from the same crew on the same visit. We keep the separation distances the regulations require from anyone not under our control.

Permissions, insurance and the risk assessment are all available before the flight rather than after it. If weather stops the flight we rebook the next clear window at no extra cost. Where a second visit is our fault, it is at our cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need permission from the landowner or council?

Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.

What do we actually receive at the end?

That depends on the brief: graded video, high-resolution stills, orthomosaic maps, 3D models or an inspection report. Raw capture is handed over on the day and finished output follows by secure cloud transfer.

How much notice do you need for a booking in SM5?

A few days is comfortable for most SM5 sites, and we can often cover urgent work at shorter notice. Jobs needing NATS or ATC coordination, or access to a restricted site, need longer, and we will flag that as soon as we see the brief.
