FPV Drone Filming in W9
We cover W9 for FPV drone filming, with the airspace checks, risk assessment and clearances handled before the crew arrives.
Recent Work
Selected work from across London and the Thames.
UAS London covers the W9 postcode district as part of our standard London operating area. Work in the district covers everything from marketing imagery to progress records and condition reports. We are happy to work alongside a ground photographer or video crew already on site.
The right altitude for any W9 site depends entirely on what you are trying to show. Where W9 sits under a flight path, timings matter more than usual. We work the whole of West London, so W9 is rarely a standalone trip.
The W9 plan starts from what is on the ground, not from a standard template. Thermal and high-zoom payloads are available where the inspection calls for them. Residents and neighbouring occupiers in W9 are given notice where the operation warrants it.
Insurance certificates and CAA documentation are issued on request ahead of any W9 booking. Delivery is by secure cloud transfer, with the raw files retained as backup. Where a job runs over, we absorb it rather than reissue the invoice.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need permission from the landowner or council?
Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.
How much notice do you need for a booking in W9?
A few days is comfortable for most W9 sites, and we can often cover urgent work at shorter notice. Jobs needing NATS or ATC coordination, or access to a restricted site, need longer, and we will flag that as soon as we see the brief.
Can you work around a live site in W9?
Yes. We plan around access routes, working hours and pedestrian movement, and can schedule flights for quieter windows to keep ground risk down. Cordons and marshalling are agreed in advance rather than arranged on the day.
