Construction Site Mapping in SM1

SM1 is inside our regular operating area. Our construction site mapping crews mobilise quickly and arrive with the paperwork already done.

We deliver construction site mapping throughout SM1 for commercial and private clients alike. That includes new-build developments, refurbishment sites, commercial premises and public events. Scheduling is flexible. Early starts and weekend slots are both available.

Good construction site mapping makes the next conversation shorter. Proximity to controlled airspace changes what is possible in parts of SM1. Sites across Sutton get the same crews and the same standards as SM1.

Airspace over SM1 is checked on the day as well as at the planning stage. We carry enough kit to change approach on site if conditions demand it. We keep the separation distances the regulations require from anyone not under our control.

Paperwork is ready before the booking is confirmed rather than chased afterwards. Larger data sets are delivered by secure transfer rather than physical media. The same pilot who plans the SM1 job is usually the one who flies it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need permission from the landowner or council?

Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.

Do you need us to close anything off while you fly?

Usually not. Most jobs are flown with a small cordon around the take-off point and sensible separation from people on the ground. Where a site genuinely needs more, we will tell you at the planning stage rather than on the morning.

How much notice do you need for a booking in SM1?

A few days is comfortable for most SM1 sites, and we can often cover urgent work at shorter notice. Jobs needing NATS or ATC coordination, or access to a restricted site, need longer, and we will flag that as soon as we see the brief.
