Construction Site Mapping in CR8

Everything we fly in CR8 sits inside permissions we already hold, with paperwork available on request.

Construction site mapping in CR8 is something we are set up to do at short notice. Jobs come in from main contractors, subcontractors and the client side directly. We will say plainly if a drone is the wrong tool for what you are trying to show.

Aerial work in CR8 tends to answer a question that ground-level images cannot. Every London district has its own mix of obstacles, and CR8 is no exception. Our coverage of Croydon means a crew can reach CR8 without a long transit.

Before we fly in CR8 we check airspace restrictions, obstacles and ground risk on the day. Two-operator setups are available where the shot needs independent camera control. Crew brief happens on site, in front of whoever is responsible for the ground.

Insurance certificates and CAA documentation are issued on request ahead of any CR8 booking. File formats are agreed up front so nothing needs converting later. The same pilot who plans the CR8 job is usually the one who flies it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you fly indoors or in enclosed spaces?

Yes, with sub-250g aircraft and appropriate planning. Enclosed and confined spaces need their own risk assessment and often a different platform, so tell us about the environment early and we will confirm what is workable.

Do you retain copyright, or do we?

Licensing is agreed before the shoot and written into the quote, so there is no ambiguity afterwards. Tell us how you intend to use the material and we will scope the licence to match.

What do we actually receive at the end?

That depends on the brief: graded video, high-resolution stills, orthomosaic maps, 3D models or an inspection report. Raw capture is handed over on the day and finished output follows by secure cloud transfer.
