Stockpile & Volumetric Surveys in SE28
SE28 is inside our regular patch, so stockpile & volumetric surveys there is a short mobilisation rather than a special arrangement.
Our pilots work in SE28 often enough to know its airspace constraints before we arrive. Sites vary from tight residential streets to large commercial and industrial plots. Where you need stills and video, they come from one visit rather than two.
The point of stockpile & volumetric surveys is usually a decision someone else needs to make. We treat SE28 as its own operating environment rather than a dot on a London map. SE28 is one of the South East London districts we cover, and the surrounding ones are all in range.
Any SE28 flight close to controlled airspace gets NATS or ATC coordination arranged in advance. Payload choice follows the deliverable, whether that is a frame or a measurement. Nothing is flown until the paperwork and the brief agree with each other.
UAS London holds CAA operational authorisation and carries £10M public liability insurance. Give us the site details and we will confirm feasibility and cost before you commit. Where a second visit is our fault, it is at our cost.
Part of SE28 fronts the Thames, and river work has its own rules. We coordinate with the PLA, work to tide windows, and can launch from a vessel where the shot needs it.
What's Included
Thames Riverside Expertise
Because SE28 is adjacent to the River Thames, operations here may require specialist maritime knowledge. We coordinate with the Port of London Authority (PLA) and provide highly experienced river skippers when required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need permission from the landowner or council?
Take-off and landing need the landowner's permission, and we will tell you whose it is before the date. Where a council, managing agent or estate needs sight of our CAA authorisation, insurance or risk assessment, we supply the paperwork directly.
Do you need us to close anything off while you fly?
Usually not. Most jobs are flown with a small cordon around the take-off point and sensible separation from people on the ground. Where a site genuinely needs more, we will tell you at the planning stage rather than on the morning.
Can you fly indoors or in enclosed spaces?
Yes, with sub-250g aircraft and appropriate planning. Enclosed and confined spaces need their own risk assessment and often a different platform, so tell us about the environment early and we will confirm what is workable.
